Washington County Sheriff's Office Investigations

  Sheriff’s Office Investigative Division;

The Investigative Division is staffed with seasoned Deputies, each with over ten years of experience.  Currently, Investigators are selected by oral interview boards, and a review of their past employment records.   The division is staffed by three Criminal Investigators, and one Narcotics Enforcement Investigator.  In 2012, this division investigated over 322 Part 1 Crime (Murder, Rape, Robbery, Assaults, Burglary, Motor Vehicle Theft, & Arson) cases, along with over 1,000 other type cases or incidents that were reported to the Sheriff’s Office.   In the past two years, the Narcotics Officer has conducted approximately 200 investigations into drug possessions, sales, and trafficking in our county.  The Investigation Division Deputies are also responsible for the management and storage of any and all evidence or property collected or stored at the Sheriff’s office

Both divisions are commanded by the Captain of Operations.
