Welcome to the official site of the Washington County Sheriff's Office

Please browse our website and feel free to provide comments, tips or compliments to our staff. It is our goal to provide transparency to our taxpayers as we all proudly serve all our citizens with Courtesy, Integrity, and Professionalism.

It is the intention of the Washington County Sheriff's staff to be positive, conscientious role models to those we serve. The command staff of our Sheriff's office offers our county some of the best trained and experienced law enforcement officers available.

As the 27th Sheriff of Washington County, I pledge to our citizens to enforce our laws fairly and firmly, yet be guided by a healthy amount of common sense. Our Sheriff's Office is responsible for more than 600 square miles of roadway with law enforcement protection offered to the 34,000 citizens living from Carmine to Washington, Chappell Hill to Independence, from Brenham to Lake Somerville and everything in between. It is our goal to make sure you are not a victim of crime and, should you be, to do everything in our power to find, arrest, and confine those responsible for their acts.
